Manor and Villas :
There are 170 Standard guest-rooms in the Manor House and in the Villas laid out in an arc in two villages located north and south of the Manor House.
Space is as precious a luxury here as it was in the sugar-plantation mansions of yesteryear. An alley lined with palm-trees and orange cannas leads to the Manor House, which epitomises the elegant lifestyle of the plantations of old, at the heart of the resort.
All the Villas, evocatively named after sugar estates, open on the magnificent and impeccably kept garden and the Indian Ocean.
Spacious and luminous, on the ground-floor and upstairs, the rooms celebrate the warm and bright colours of the tropics, beautifully complemented by the Creole charm of the rattan furniture.
There are also seven Villas close to the beach, with 66 rooms and two Deluxe Suites fronting the Indian Ocean.
Standard Rooms :
The colonial-style Manor House comprises 80 spacious Standard Rooms of 40 m2 each, opening on the garden or the Indian Ocean. The 90 other Standard Rooms of the same size are housed in the Villas, in the village north or south of the Manor House.
With their king-size bed, white-lead and rattan furniture, tropical bouquets, and Venetian blinds to filter the sunlight, the rooms bear the hall-marks of space, colonial elegance, well-being and privileged peace of mind.
There are 83 Standard Rooms with two queen-size double beds, which is ideal for families of four (2 adults and 2 children under the age of 12). Furthermore, 40 Rooms (Standard and Villa Rooms) are communicating.
All the rooms have a private balcony or terrace with rattan furniture.
Villas :
There are 7 colonial-style, pastel-painted Villas fronting the kilometre-long beach and the Indian Ocean.
Each is evocatively named after a sugar estate - Solitude, Beau-Champ, Belle Vue, Mon Trésor ., and houses 66 rooms of 40 m2, with the same comfort and amenities as those in the Manor House.
The service is impeccable and stylish, mild-mannered and attentive to guests' needs.
Deluxe Suites :
The two Deluxe Suites are located close to the sea, with only a few coconut trees between them and the beach.
On the ground-floor and occupying 80 m2 each, they open directly on the magnificent garden. Elegantly furnished in the white-lead or wrought-iron style and decorated in shades of yellow, blue and green, they offer a degree of comfort that is both refined and spacious.
Each comprises a large bedroom with a king-size bed and a dressing-table, a lounge for entertaining guests, a convivial dining-area for enjoying meals in all privacy, and a separate toilet for visitors. Features include television and a DVD player.

Mon Plasir :
Very spacious, furnished with mosaic-and-wrought-iron tables and overlooking the swimming-pool and the gardens, Sugar Beach Resort's main restaurant is an open invitation to pleasurable self-indulgence and the fifth deadly sin.
Here even the air conspires to whet one's appetite as the tropical garden's floral scents waft in on the sea breeze and fill the place up to its high ceilings.
Citronella Cafe :
Facing the sea, between Sugar Beach Resort and La Pirogue, guests can savour the delights of the Mediterranean's sunny cuisines and their delicate olive-oil preparations in the cordial warmth of Citronella's dining-room, with its fine wrought-iron tables, or in the shade of the café's teak terrace.
The open, rounded kitchen is equipped with a wood-fired oven for baking bread and pizzas and adorned with jars of whole lemons or stuffed olives steeped in olive oil.
Paul et Virginie Restaurant :
Rustic, charming and located right by the beach at sister resort La Pirogue, the entirely redesigned à-la carte Paul et Virginie affords a sublime view on the Indian Ocean in the warm and cosy privacy of thatch-topped dining islets beside or overhanging La Pirogue's superb new infinity pool.
At lunchtime, from 12.30 to 3pm everyday, it offers local cuisine and equally exotic preparations of Middle Eastern and Asian inspiration as well as wood-fire-baked pizzas, grills, smoked or steamed dishes, and salads.
The Plantation Bar :
Overhanging the very large swimming-pool, which surrounds it, the sea-facing Plantation Bar is the heart of the resort.
Open on all sides, convivial and relaxed, with a huge bar-counter, it welcomes adults and children all day until pre-dinner aperitif time. In the evening the magnificent flood-lit pool becomes the focal point for the resort's floor shows.
